Operation Fire Blossom III The Arkansas Rebel Recon Airsoft team is proud to host Operation Fire Blossom III. This event will be help on April 4th in Benton, Arkansas. The last two successful events brought together players from Oklahoma, Tennessee, Mississippi and Arkansas. This even should carry on the tradition. Here is a bit of information about the different forces arrayed in this conflict. Go to the ARRA Forum to find out more details and to sign up. Back Story The Rosebudanian Defensive Force (RDF), through their recent support for their Lavacastanian neighbors at the Siege of Carnage City, have gained an enemy in the Kashistan People's Army (KPA). Realizing this, Rosebudanian scientists have been hard at work on a weapons program that would enable them to launch precision guided munitions across Lavacastan to strike deep into the heart of Kashistan, all without registering on radar screens or missile defense systems. Dubbed Project Fire Blossom, it is considered of the utmost importance to Rosebudania's continued freedom. The nation of Kashistan is outraged at what they consider the provocative actions on the part of Rosebudania, a nation that has recently meddled in Kashistanian affairs. This new arms race could tilt the power in the region towards Rosebudania and any allies they decide to acknowledge. The KPA well remembers the aggressions of the Rosebudanian forces and the part the RDF leader, Boonierat, played in the recent Invasion of Kashistan. In addition, the KPA believes the Rosebudanians may export this technology to Lavacastan and other groups hostile to Kashistan. The weapons development leaves some in Lavacastan nervous, however. Many Lavacastanians remember the aggression of their Eastern neighbor after the RDF attacked their oil supplies in 2007, with further troop incursions multiple times in 2008. Some Lavacastanians think this new weapon will tilt the balance of power in favor of Rosebudania and weaken Lavacastan's position in their relations. Other Lavacastanian officials are also nervous about the possibility that Black Fist terrorists may influence the Rosebudanian's. Rosebudania has worked to quiet these concerns, including providing details about recent internal activities. The Black Fist forces, once a threat, have remained inactive since RDF's Strike Team Pegasus managed to overrun the Black Fist stronghold and decimate their forces. The Lavacastanian fear is the Black Fist may have a resurgence and try to gain control of the weapon. Black Fist involvement in the weapons program would lead to chaos in the region, with all free peoples threatened. However, many Lavacastanians understand the need for the weapon and are willing to support this development. These Lavacastanians remember the support provided by the RDF as part of a joint invasion force into Kashistan to quell what was seen as expansionist tendencies in Lavacastan's western neighbor. The RDF's support at Carnage City are also seen as a sign the Rosebudanians are interested in more peaceful relations with Lavacastan. It seems these efforts drew the attention of Kashistan to Rosebudania. Over all, reports from Lavacastanian leaders are mixed. Some, such as the Military Leader "Sparkie," are encouraged by the news, hopeful that the rising strength of Rosebudania will make Kashistan think twice about sending military forces into his country. Others, such as The Minister of Security, are understandably concerned. This Rosebudanian weapon could be turned against the nation of Lavacastan as easily as it could be directed against Kashistan. After all, it wasn't that long ago when Rosebudania and Lavacastan were engaged in hostilities. |
